Cardiovascular Endurance

The ability of the heart, blood, blood vessels and lungs to take in and transport an adequate amount of oxygen to the working muscles in order to facilitate rhythmic movement or an extended period of time.

Muscular Endurance

The ability of a muscle or muscle group to exert force against a sub-maximal load for a given length of time or number of repetitions without fatiguing.

Muscular Strength

Strength training exercises work your muscles by applying a resistance against which the muscles need to exert a force.

Flexibility

The range of motion about a given joint; adequate flexibility is essential for injury prevention and mobility.

Body Composition

The proportion of lean body mass to body fat. Lean body mass is metabolically active tissue and includes muscle, bone, skin, nervous tissue and organs. Fat does not directly contribute to energy production although it is used as fuel source in aerobic exercise.
